We offer a wide range of programmes for international students that develop the skills needed for postgraduate study in the US. All courses incorporate subject-specific modules as well as tuition in research, academic English and study skills.
INTO Graduate Pathways
International students often find they require additional preparation to be admitted directly to graduate schools in the US. You may fall short of meeting the minimum GPA requirements; need additional academic English development; or need to improve your study skills for success in your chosen field of study.
The Graduate Pathways have been designed to address all of these needs, and help prepare you fully for entry to postgraduate programs in the U.S. university system.
Graduate Pathways usually last three terms (approximately nine months) and students need to have a relevant background in the subject they intend to study at university. The program also acts as a conversion course, allowing students to master in a subject which they have not previously majored in.

Academic English
Academic English helps international students gain the necessary English language skills to study successfully at a US university. Delivered throughout the year, this rigorous program develops your listening, speaking, reading, writing and academic study skills, as well as offering essential TOEFL preparation.
You will also enjoy the benefit of being able to practise your English within a US university environment. Additionally there will be many opportunities to interact with instructors, classmates, students and people in the community, as well as to gain an invaluable taste of U.S. life and culture.

General English
The General English program also focuses on everyday English, but offers a greater degree of flexibility in terms of duration of study and course entry points. The course caters to all levels of ability, and you can study from a minimum of four to a maximum of 48 weeks.
During the course you will develop communicative skills for everyday use, building your confidence in speaking, reading, listening, writing, vocabulary, pronunciation and social communication. You will also enjoy access to all the resources of a US university, while gaining an introduction to local, regional and national culture through a range of social activities and visits.
